First visit to the Zoo this year

Grandma Sue, Mommy, DJ, and Alex went to the zoo one of the first nice days this spring.  It was super busy, but lots of fun!

I think I took more pictures with my phone.  Oops, guess we have to go back again soon!

Zebra

We went to the zoo again and I had to add these 2 pictures because DJ LoVeS zebras!

He was sad when he didn't get to ride the zebra last time.

Zoo

Grandma invited us to the zoo the yesterday with some cousins.  We had a blast!

We sat on the big elephant.  It was scary because it made weird noises and squirted water.

 We saw the elephants.  It was fun watching them eat and watching the baby run around.

 We saw the rhinos and got to sit on one too.

 We saw giraffe.

 and all the big cats.

 Grandma let us ride on the merry go round.   I rode on the cheetah, but wanted to ride on the zebra because that is my favorite.

Thanks grandma for inviting us to a fun day at the zoo!  Let's do it again soon!

The Zoo

We went to the Hogle Zoo. This was DJ's first time there and he really enjoyed it! He would look and study the animals. I wish I could hear what he was thinking, "That is a strange looking person!" "Why are all these people behind bars?" "Dude, what are we doing?"

Then I guess he thought he was funny for thinking that.

Since Daddy is crazy like a monkey, he got his picture by the monkeys.
My favorite animals were the giraffes! They were all out and this one liked to lick the side of the building. I think that when they were created they used their sense of humor. I never really realized it, but I think they have always been one of my favorite land animals. I remember always looking forward to seeing the giraffes at the zoo.
All in all it was a great day! It was overcast so not too hot, and we went around feeding time so the animals were more active than usual.
