Memorial Weekend 2010

Since it was Memorial Day, Mom and Dad had Monday off work so we were able to go on a fun trip. Enjoy some pictures from our adventures.
We had to wake up really early and drive a long time! Our first stop was in Moab, at Hole in the Rock. We went inside the store and I found this cool hat. I felt like a real Mountain Man!
Daddy let me sit in this really cool Jeep. It was made out of license plates.
Man, I can't wait until I am able to drive one of these.

Then my cousins and I found this neat mine cart.
We just had to try it out.

Then Mom and Dad took me to a tee-shirt shop. I was able to get my own Moab shirt. Actually the store was out of my size so mom and dad undressed me right in the store and had them use my undershirt. I was so embarrassed, I was in a store practically naked! But I was able to get a customized shirt that matches mommy and daddy's.

Here are a couple of pictures of us all wearing our matching shirts.

Then we went to Arches National Park. Where we hiked to see Delicate Arch.
Here we are with it in the distance.

Then we hiked and saw the two window arches. Those were pretty cool too.
You can see part of both windows in the background of this picture.

I got to ride on daddy's back the entire trip.
Here I am with Daddy.
It was fun, and I must say that I am really good at riding around all day.
I even fell asleep a couple of times, but don't tell anyone.
The next day we went on two different hikes.
First we went to a slot canyon. It was really pretty,
and fun when the walls of the canyon got close together.
I wasn't sure if I was going to make it
through some of those tight spots.

This is where we stopped to eat lunch. I was really hungry by this time.
Brianna found a cool seat so I had to join her for a picture.
Here we are hiking some more.
I liked to look out the side to make sure daddy stayed on the right path,
and didn't run me into any walls. Here we are again. Did you notice yet that we all have camo pants on?

We were pretty tired after that last hike, but we wanted to go see Goblin Valley.
Here is a picture of what I got to see there.
It was really neat, I just couldn't stop thinking about coming back when I could run around and play in the goblins.
This is us taking a rest and drinking my bottle. It is tiring work riding all day!
I had a fantastic weekend with Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Jessi, and my cousins!
I am excited for my next adventure!

An Eternal Family

Today I am so full of thanks! We were able to take Dawson to the temple today and get sealed. Wow, what a wonderful and amazing experience it was!!! Thank you to everyone that was able to make it, it made it that much more meaningful. I am so grateful the Gospel has been restored to the Earth so we can receive the great blessings from it. What an amazing feeling it is to know that we have an Eternal Family! We went to the Salt Lake Temple. Our sealing was at noon, but we had to be there at 10:30, but were about 15 minutes late. We took DJ to the nursery and then they had us go over some paperwork. In the sealing room the brother performing the sealing was talking to us and I was getting emotional (big surprise, I know) and then the door opened and they brought Dawson in and the tears started flowing. He was so good the entire time. Right after we were sealed DJ let out a squeal, it was so dang cute. All of the ladies that took care of him in the nursery commented on how happy he is and how cute he is. We then went outside and took some pictures. Again, I am so thankful for the sealing power on Earth and for our opportunity to be sealed with our son! (pictures will follow soon for the court date and temple date.)

Everyone comments on how much hair DJ has so I thought that we would start out with some hair pictures. He is going to love us for taking these!

Pretty flowers, I even picked some to give to mom.

I am starting to get my teeth, so some days I don't feel well.
I had a fever so I got in a bath. It sure felt good.
