Growing (just a little)

DJ went for his 9 month check up earlier this week. His new measurements are: weight - 16.14, height - 27.5, and head circumference 44.5 cm. So he is in the 5th percentile for weight and the 10th for height. Dawson is also pulling himself up to a standing position and cruising. It is so fun watching him learn new things everyday! A tooth finally broke yesterday, which gives me mixed emotions; he is going to be so cute with teeth, but he is growing up so fast. One of his favorite things is to click his tongue. I am so grateful for our little boy everyday and can't say thank you enough!!!

Summer Time Fun

Here are some pictures from the last couple of days, in no particular order. DJ got a sippy cup, we went to a family reunion, and some shots playing around the house.

First Hair Cut

I have been thinking about getting DJ's hair cut for awhile now, but just think it is so cute long. Well, for the past month I have dreaded combing it because he gets tangles and he cries when he gets his hair combed. So I figured it is time, boys shouldn't have to worry about "snarrlies" in their hair.

I went in not knowing how we should have his hair cut, so I asked the stylist what would work best.

We had a great stylist doing his hair so it was a great experience. I didn't worry at all about what it would look like because she does such a great job!

All DJ cared about was getting that hair cape into his mouth.

Just Fun

Dawson has learned to stand holding onto things. He even pulls himself us sometimes. This is where his toys are so he is wondering what to play with.

Thunderstorm

I just sat outside with Dawson and Samson in a thunderstorm. It was a simple but great experience! We were under the porch so we didn't get wet at all. We just sat on the porch swing and enjoyed the sound and smell of the rain and thunder. Samson was scared of the thunder, but Dawson just thought it was cool. It was really nice to be able to go outside with my boy and my dog and enjoy one of life's simple pleasures, a thunderstorm.
