Ohio - Day 1

We have been so excited for these days to come, and have been counting them down forever.  They are finally here!!!  This year Thanksgiving day has been a very different one, but a very special one!  Here are our day one adventrures...
Packing - We took 6 bags and only one fit inside another one.
We woke up early to finish getting everything together.
There was a play place at the airport that DJ played in for awhile.
DJ and Daddy looking at our airplane.
Boarding on DJ's first airplane ride.
DJ and Mommy watching out the window.
Ready for take off, well almost.
DJ pretty much right after the plane was in the air.  He slept about half of the way.
We had a beautiful sunset when we flew out of Chicago.
Home Sweet Home (at least for the next couple of days)
We are super excited for tomorrow, but really tired!

2 Years Old

We celebrated Dawson's 2nd birthday on the 13th.  We invited a lot of people who love him very much.  We sang happy birthday, ate cake and ice cream, and opened presents.
DJ and Mommy before everyone came over.
 DJ checking out his presents.
Clapping at the door because people are arriving.
 DJ and Great Grandma Alice
DJ's birthday cake, yes he loved the football.
 Some of the gang.

 DJ and Mommy
 Happy Birthday to you!
He loved blowing out his candles!
And was super excited when he finally blew them both out!!!
 Yummy cake
 He loves his big bear!
 Opening presents

 He loved his Utah bird

 Playing with his new toys
 Reading birthday cards
We gave DJ a little bike, and he loves it!  Joy brought it in so he now thinks it is from Joy.
Of course he had to put on his helmet!
DJ is growing up so fast.  He is such a happy, fun little boy!  There are so many people who love him, and I am so grateful for every single one of them (many who couldn't make it)!

The Fort

Daddy has been gone for a couple of days on a business conference.  I was so excited when he came home yesterday, I sure do love my daddy!  Today he decided that I needed to make my first fort, so he got 2 blankets and set everything up.  It was fun, but didn't last long because I just couldn't help myself and had to jump right on top of it.

Me and Daddy in the fort.
I had a blast destroying the fort.

Another Miracle

A couple of weeks ago we found out about an amazing person.  Her name is Ashley and she found us through our adoption website.  We have been talking for the past couple of weeks and she has chosen us to adopt her 15 month old son.  We are so thankful and feel so blessed that she found us.  As we have talked we have realized the situation and how many things have just happened to make this work.  At the end of the month we are going out to meet Ashley and Alex.  Ashley is such an incredible person and we think the world of her!  We already have such a close bond.  We are really excited to have another open adoption!
I know this is why you are really reading this; to see what a stud Alex is!  So, without further ado...
