Mohawk

I decided to put DJ's hair in a mohawk the other day.  He looks so stinkin' cute with it, that now he sports it most days.  The sore on his nose is from a walk.  We were coming back from a walk and he was running down the sidewalk and fell.  He didn't get hurt until the second bounce, he landed right on his nose and scraped it all up.  It is almost gone now, but it was a nice war wound.

Working

I was wondering why DJ picked to help daddy outside with yard work instead of helping me inside with housework.  Then I looked outside and this is what I saw.
Yea, I would be outside too if I had a choice, riding a four-wheeler.
Dawson loves being outside doing anything.  Now we just have to wait until the rain goes away then we can stay outside all day.

It is nice that Daddy can make work so much fun!
Having fun riding in the wheelbarrow.
 Playing in the water.
Now whenever Dawson can't find daddy he goes out to the window and looks outside and says, "Daddy".  It is super cute!

Hat

Dawson was getting ready to get in the tub a couple of nights ago and was running around naked, so I decided to put a hat on him and take some pictures.
Here is a series of him getting up on his rocking chair.
Turning around to sit down and . . .
sitting on the chair like a big boy!  I decide to turn the chair.

Adoption Day

On the 17th of May last year we went to the courthouse to finalize our adoption.  We had decided even before we knew about DJ we would recognize our children's adoption day.
We got Dawson a big sword for adoption day this year.  He loves the sword and if you tell him to get the dog he will go attack the dog with the sword, super cute!

Basketball DJ

 Look how cute DJ is!
What a cute little Jazz outfit we got.  It was a good thing that Williams was traded so we could get this outfit for 1/2 off.
 He is our little point-guard.

Helper

Dawson loves to help!  Here are some pictures showing his skills.

DJ helping with the laundry.
DJ helping daddy with the dishes.
 DJ helping in the garden.
DJ doing the dishes by himself.
He got that spoon super clean!  Don't worry he couldn't reach the knife.
DJ helping with yard work.  Well, really he helped killing some snails.

Mr. Dawson Jay

I have finally finished everyday of the cruise, so now what you have really been waiting for - Mr. Dawson Jay!
DJ loves reading books!  This one is a lift the flap book and he is finding the peeyews (toes)
I am teaching him early to raise his hand before he talks.  Ha Ha.  Actually whenever he raises his hand we have to say, "Go Utes!"
We bought some Hostess cupcakes the other day and he LoVeS them!
 Yummy!
Shove it all in at once!
DJ is an outside fanatic!  Here he is enjoying the flowers.
 My boys!
We went to the store and found this hat.  He looks so adorable in it, but also he enjoys taking it off.
 Say Cheese!
 What up?
 His GQ look
Our cat Buzz had kittens a couple of weeks ago and DJ can't get enough of them.
Sometimes he is gentle with them. . .
 but not usually!
The kittens are learning fast to run away when DJ is coming.
I am so grateful everyday for my little boy and that I get to be his Mommy!  What an amazing gift we have been given to raise one of Heavenly Father's precious sons!  I thank Brie and Spencer everyday for their unselfish gift!

Cruise Day 9

 Day 9
We were super sad that the cruise had come to an end!  We couldn't wait to get back to our little man though!  10 hours in the car was something that we certainly were NOT looking forward to.
Here is mom and dad loading all of our luggage back into the truck to start heading for home.
Jason and me goofing around in the parking garage while everything is getting loaded in the car.  Although it was a squishy ride we save a ton of money driving with my mom, dad, Kurt, and Shaileen!
Shai and me showing how sad we are now that the cruise is over!
Since we have been home Jason has been looking into going on another one.

Cruise Day 8

 Day 8
Another fun day at sea.
We did some of the activities on the ship.  We did some trivia things, but never got close to winning anything.Kurt, Shai, Jason, and I participated in a digital scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun.  Here are some of the pictures we took to document the hunt.
We had to give hugs to 5 strangers.  Here I am with Marcelo, one of the cruise directors.
Here is Shai with a chef.  We had to wear a chef hat and have them dance with us.
We also had to introduce ourselves to a worker clearing a table and help them.
We had to propose to one of the staff members.  Jason decided to take this one on, so here he is with Shai's ring proposing.
We had to ride down the water slide.  None of us were in our swimming suits so we were thinking of skipping that one, but the slide wasn't open so that one became really easy.
We had to go to the little kid pool and do the chicken dance.  If we could get at least 3 kids to dance with us it was worth extra points.  They thought that we were crazy, but we succeeded in this task.
We completed all but 2 tasks: getting people to dance with us up on the main deck and learning to create an animal from a towel.  We tried the dancing thing but people just looked at us funny and wouldn't join. Although we didn't complete everything, we did come in 2nd place and received a medal of peace and love.
Just in case you were wondering, the medals were totally real.

This is how I feel when I don't win 1st place.
Jason, Arnie, and I on our last night at dinner.  He knew all of our names and would say hi to us when he saw us around the ship.  He really was great and totally deserved the employee of the month!
This is the last towel creation we received on our bed.  One day the guy that was talking care of our room asked us if we needed anything extra and I asked for an extra mint, so each night we got a couple of extra mints on our bed.
