Love Me

How can you not love him?

Thursday, February 17, 2011

I am just going to say sorry up front because this is another post without DJ in it. During Valentine week last year Jason decided to try Atkins. So I knew that I wanted to lose some weight too, so without really giving it much prior thought I told him that I would do the same thing. Now a year has past and I just want to say THANK YOU to my wonderful husband for helping get healthier! I feel so much better about myself and feel like I can do more things again. So here are the results: I lost a little over 30 pounds in a year and am bound and determined not to go back to where I was last year. I am embarrassed by the first pictures but that is really where I was and it helps me see how far I have come.
These first two are from a hike in St. George in 2009.
These last two are now.
Jason has done an amazingly, wonderful job too! He has lost 40 pounds in a year. The top picture is in St. George 2009
This picture was from our date night a week ago.

Date Night

Jason and I decided to have a date night, just the two of us. It was super fun!!!! He planned the entire evening. First we dropped the kids off at Aunt Jessi's house (thank you Jessi). Then we were off.
This is us heading to our first activity, dinner. Jason was super hungry! We went to Rodizzio Grill, which was amazing! We ate ourselves silly. See Jason is much happier with food in his tummy.
Then we went ice skating at the Olympic Oval. Neither of us had been there and were excited to skate.
Here is Jason and the infamous pose.

We tightened up our skills and by the end of the night we could make little turns like ice skaters do. Okay, probably not JUST like ice skaters.
They have cool contraptions that kids can use to help them learn to skate. Super cool, so Jason of course had to try them out.
Here we are right before we left the oval. We did get some funny videos of us trying to be Apollo Ono.
A night with just the two of us was long overdue, but we sure made the best of it. I am so grateful for my wonderful husband. He is such a great husband and father!

Little Monkey

DJ has become a little monkey. He wants to climb on everything. He has learned to pull himself up on chairs and then if they are not tucked all the way in he will climb up on the table. So, here is a sequence of pictures showing off his newly acquired talent.

What a stud muffin!

Mini Trip and More

We decided to head down to Cedar City over the weekend because a roommate of mine was blessing her baby on Sunday. We packed up Friday night and headed down. Here is DJ helping get ready!
"Can I come too?"
Apparently DJ thought he was going IN the suitcase.
We had a video going and here is DJ watching it! How cute is that.
Making funny faces.
When we got down to Cedar City we met up with some friends and took the kids to Discovery Park. They LoVeD it! Here is DJ cruising around.
Jason and Jake also played on the playground. They decided to try to cross each other on the rock climbing wall without falling off. The first attempt didn't work, so they took off their shoes and were successful.
Here are some cute pictures of DJ. I gave him his 3rd haircut the other day. I really like it, but he does look more like a little boy instead of my baby.
"HI"
Dawson and Mommy
Here are some pictures of DJ climbing! I bought a big bin to put my crafts in and the kids were playing with it before I filled it.
DJ is TOO interested in trying to get into the kitty litter. We have blocked it off, but since he loves to climb he uses the chairs as a ladder.
What a silly boy!
