"Surprise"

Yesterday Jason surprised me by taking the night off work and setting up to have the boys stay over at their cousins over night. I was so surprised!!!  He told me that we were going to dinner and a movie, which we had talked about not too long ago.  Soon after we left I had a suspicion that we weren't going to the movies at all, not sure why I thought that.  We dropped the boys off and set off to dinner.  The place he planned to eat was out of business so we went somewhere close by.  The wait was 30 minutes at least and Jason still wanted to eat there.  So my suspicions of what we were really doing was being proved right, we were in the right location and Jason doesn't like to wait to eat when it is crowded.  I didn't let him know that I was on to him awhile ago.  When we pulled into the Maverick Center parking I knew I was right.  He had tickets to the Brad Paisley concert!  We had a blast!
Brad Paisley
He can play the guitar like nobody's business!
Almost all of his guitars had some sort of paisley on them.
He gave away his hat and a guitar, unfortunately not to us!
 Us goofing around
 At the concert.
We had really good seats and loved singing along to all of the songs.  He puts on a really good show!
Thanks hunny  for the 'surprise' even though I had to figured out!  I guess I am just way smarter than he thought!

Cute Videos

Two cute videos of the boys while with Kurt and Shai

Tending

Kurt and Shaileen helped us out today by watching the boys.  The boys love their aunt and uncle so much!  Thanks to Kurt, who posted them on his blog, I am able to share their day with you!
Kurt, Alex, and DJ (I love DJ's face in this picture!)
Alex, of course with his cup.
 What a stinkin' cutie!
Shaileen and DJ during breakfast. Just so you know we have 2 of these bibs, we don't make them share.
 The boys with their uncle.
Thank you so much for helping out!
Last night DJ went out and helped Daddy shovel the walks on the four-wheeler.
DJ all bundled up.
Daddy and DJ ready to go out in the freezing weather.
We put DJ's hat on Alex and he looks like a stud muffin!
 I love it!
We have been blessed with a wonderful family!

Demolition Derby

We went up to Ogden to a demolition derby.  This was Jason and the boys first derby so we were really excited.

DJ listening to the National Anthem with his hand on his heart.

This derby was put on for the fallen officers.  It was nice to see everyone support those that serve us.

All Dressed Up

Here are my little ones all dressed up.  What cuties!
Brothers!  He isn't trying to put him in a headlock, even though that is what it looks like.
We certainly have the cutest boys!

Snow Fun

It snowed and Jason had me dress the boys up in their snow clothes to go out and play.

Jason shoveled the walks first so here is DJ and Alex patiently waiting for Daddy to finish so he could go outside.

They played in the sled.

DJ even pulled Alex around in it.
Then they made a snowman.
Daddy and DJ putting arms on the snowman.  If you look on the other side you can see Samson helping take off the arms.
 The finished product.
The boys are so lucky to have such a good Daddy!

Dress Up

We went over to Bret and Hilarie's house tonight to pick up some clothes and they brought up girl clothes too.  Ashley has said that she always wanted to dress Alex up as a girl so we thought we would do it.  He does make a pretty cute little girl.

Grandpa's Funeral

This is the slideshow Jason and I put together of Grandpa!

Grandma kissing Grandpa
Caring the casket
 Grandma and her son Tom.
Grandpa would ALWAYS wear skinny ties so the men wore his them in honor of him!
Grandpa loved his apple trees, in fact he was called Grandpa Apple by the Great Grandkids.
 Military honors
Walking to the graveside.

Grandma and Grandpa had a son that died when he was 6 years old.  I think this is an amazing picture of Grandma at her sons graveside.
Grandma getting a flag and being thanked for him serving our country.
Grandpa was in the Army and the Air Force.
We let go of yellow balloons for Grandpa.

 Mommy and Alex
The boys did fairly good at the funeral considering their age, but they looked dang cute in their little ties!
